Quadism
This is a work-in-progress; a game I’m currently making which I’d describe a squares version of Trism, the popular iPhone game. The idea of the game is to remove groups of tiles that are the same colour. Once the tiles vanish you can drag the grid in one of 4 directions to rearrange it and bring new tiles in. It’s never ending. The game play isn’t quite there yet. I’ve never even played Trism so I’m making it up as I go along.

Ok turns out this game has been invented before: http://www.popcap.com/games/free/chuzzle
Naturally PopCap have done it loads better. I gave up on this game because I thought it wasnt much fun as a game. PopCap’s version is more enjoyable. They lock the rows and stick in tiles that take up 4 squares which makes it more of a puzzle.
Ric, I did this game mechanics 1999 and 2001 and launch several version. Even licensed it’s mechanics to Vivendi games which they produced the same game under Slide N” Loop title. We did Looper and Sloop version which sold worldwide. Both of these games pre installed two Nokia phones. We also send Pop Cap Cease And Desist letter to stop using our game mechanics at their Chuzzle game. We have so many execution version of this game some using arrow buttons some using click and drag. So my friend this is not Pop Caps original idea, they stole it from me! Trism is another late comer story… Cheers, Zeki
